Finding words to describe this song is really really hard. Some songs feel like they will never be finished, some are a gift and land almost unexpectedly in our laps. This is one of them.

Over the last three years I’ve made a conscious effort to write as vulnerably as I can. For years I’d shied away from this vulnerability (even while penning an album with that title).

I guess it takes time to get comfortable in our art.

So this song isn’t a banger. I’m not trying to get you in the mood to have a bop. I’m there in the dust with you when life is falling apart. Grieving with those who grieve. Hanging on when it feels like our heads are about to explode.

If you’re in that place, this song is for you. If you’ve been in that place, you’ll remember and resonate.

Take some headphones, wrap them around your head and immerse yourself in this song. I wrote it for me. I wrote it for you. And even if we haven’t ever met know that you are loved beyond words.
